Fleur De Lis Counseling Services does not accept insurance. I am happy to provide you with monthly documentation (Superbills) for Out-of-Network reimbursements. If you plan on using these benefits, I recommend contacting your insurance company to make sure they cover Out-of-network services and how to submit claims.
Fleur De Lis also partners with Mentaya to submit Superbills on behalf of the client. There is a small fee associated with submissions through Mentaya that is the responsibility of the client. We are happy to answer more questions!

Fleur De Lis operates on a remote basis at this time. I do not offer in-person services in Washington or Kentucky. Sessions take place using an individual, secure, and confidential Google Meets link.

In the first few sessions, we’ll focus on getting to know each other, gathering some background, and understanding your needs. By the end of the second session, we will have identified a few goals for your treatment. I will also spend some time in the initial sessions developing some shared language while discussing the brain and providing some education on the window of tolerance. Getting to know a new therapist is difficult, but you should know if we’re a good fit by session 5.

Do you listen to sad music when you’re happy? Do you love analogies, metaphors, and related imagery? Are you an external processor or internal processor that needs help putting the pieces together? Do you need a therapist that swears, shows up as their authentic self, and utilizes humor? Do you need someone with a great poker face, but an abundance of compassion? If so, I will likely be a great fit. I’m happy to provide a consultation call for a vibe check before scheduling your first session.

Absolutely! In addition to personally loving many LGBT+ friends and family, I have taken numerous advanced trainings on LGBTQIA+ issues. I am profoundly compassionate towards the LGBTQIA+ community and continue to advocate personally and professionally.

Couples therapy is often not covered by insurance. Because Fleur De Lis Counseling Services does not accept insurance, you can submit superbills to your insurance carrier for possible reimbursement. It is the client’s responsibility to understand their benefits and to communicate with the insurance company.

No! I work with a number of challenges including anxiety, depression, life transition, ADHD, divorce, parental estrangement, and narcissistic abuse recovery. Many times, trauma underlies these experiences as well. We will work together to develop an individualized treatment plan regardless of if there is trauma!
