About Me
Hannah Paine
MA, LMHC, LPCC, NCC
Hey there! I’ve held many identities throughout my life— neurodiverse, teen mom, wife, divorcee, single mom, teacher, therapist, etc. These identities have shaped my journey, healing process, and values as a therapist. I strive to create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment for my clients, no matter their background.
While I support individuals in any part of their healing journey, I am especially passionate about trauma treatment and recovery. I work closely with spiritual trauma, divorce recovery, and recovery from narcissistic abuse, especially matters of estrangement.
I am a nationally certified counselor specializing in trauma therapy. I have completed training in EMDR through an EMDRIA-accredited program with additional specialized training.
I work with teens 13+, adults, and relationships of all types— kink, poly, and ethical non-monogamy friendly!

My Therapeutic Style
Clients would describe me as conversational, laid back, humorous, and compassionate. They would say I have a “mean poker face” which helps them feel comfortable opening up.
My goal as a therapist is to help you achieve your goals as effectively and compassionately as possible. I meet my clients wherever they’re at in their healing journey and guide them through their desired change.
Sessions are client centered and flexible. Do you want to do EMDR? Let’s do it! Would you rather chat about work? I’m down. Need a low key session where we focus on grounding? Sure! Not sure what you need? I have some ideas!
Therapeutically, my modality predominately includes person-centered, trauma informed, and integrative. Although EMDR is a main modality of use, I often borrow from other evidence-based modalities including CBT, ACT, and DBT. I am IFS informed and integrate some IFS aspects into trauma treatment.
